How to choose a stage hairstyle

What will enhance your physique and what may disturb its proportions?

A stage hairstyle completes your image. The right choice adds femininity and supports posing, while hair that is too long, too voluminous or flat can disturb proportions.

1. Your preferences

You need to recognise yourself in the mirror and feel confident. If you usually prefer straight hair but want something different, consider a single soft wave around the face.

2. Competition category

Long loose hair is common in Bikini Fitness and Fit Model, while a ponytail often suits Bodyfitness or Figure. In Wellness, both options can work. Your proportions matter more than convention.

3. Height

Hair that is too long can visually shorten the legs, especially on shorter competitors. Excessive volume can make the upper body look wider and unbalance the silhouette.

4. Hair condition

If your hair is short or layered and you use extensions, waves usually blend the natural and added hair more smoothly than a perfectly straight finish.
