5 stage makeup mistakes that make your face look older
What to avoid so your stage makeup does not make you look older.

Every competitor wants to look like a million dollars on stage. These five mistakes can make even carefully applied stage makeup look heavier and older than intended.
1. Poor skin preparation
Dry, flaky or unclean skin and cracked lips will show under strong stage lighting. Hydrate, cleanse and remove makeup thoroughly before competition day.
2. Foundation that is too dark
Your face should remain two or three shades lighter than the bronzed body, with an even lighter centre to keep the look fresh.
3. Heavy black and grey eye makeup
Very dark smoky eyes and black liner on the waterline can visually close the eyes and add years.
4. Incorrect lashes
Stage lashes should be expressive, but their length and weight must suit the eye shape. Lashes that are too heavy make the eyes look tired.
5. Very dark lipstick and narrow lips
A very dark shade and a narrow lip shape can create a harsh expression. A balanced, fresh lip shape supports the proportions of the whole face.
Avoid these five mistakes and see my stage makeup training packages for complete guidance.
